The industry has been sleepin’ on this dude if ya ask me. Raheem DeVauhgn performed at the Soul Train Music Awards last night and this nigga shut it down wit’ his song “Bulletproof”! You ever listen to the radio and wonder what the fuck happened to rap music? The rap game has succumb to corporate cancer and it’s deteriorating by the seconds, that’s what happened. What I mean by that is the major corporations/ labels have slowly filtered out the authentic rap music and have replaced it with lollipop bullshit rap. They have shut down the windows of opportunity that independent labels once had because they did not want to share in the stake of the independent’s artists.

Think about it, back in the 60’s we had Motown Records, an independent label that produced superstar artists like Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, the Jackson 5, etc. These artists were crushin’ the game back then because Motown was in the creative hands of people of that culture. The same thing with Bad Boy, No Limit, Cash Money, and Rocafella. Whenever you leave the creative control in the hands of the actual people who create and live the culture of the music they’re creating, you will ALWAYS have a better product. The independent labels weren’t producing any bullshit because they would test their product on the streets first and get the feedback before taking it any further. If the music and/ or the artist was wack they knew it and they either went back to the drawing board or didn’t fuck with that particular artist anymore. The end result would be that we wouldn’t have to be subjected to listenin’ to wack shit on the radio. So by the time these major labels were introduced to these independents they were presented with a roster of artists who were already molded. Read more

After gettin’ his ass whupped on terribly in his “The Ultimater Fighter” debut by Roy Nelson, Kimbo Slice is comin’ back to redeem himself. He will be on “The Ultimate Fighter 10’s” season finale to fight Houston Alexander, a heavyweight from Texas. The fight is goin’ down on December 5th at 9pm on Spike TV! As previously rumored, “The Ultimate Fighter 10’s” (TUF) biggest draw, Kimbo Slice, has been confirmed to return during the reality show’s Finale in December, and will face fellow heavyweight Houston Alexander.

The rumors of Kimbo’s return have been circulating since his TUF debut in late September, in which he lost to MMA vet, Roy Nelson.

Following the loss, Dana White promised the legendary backyard brawler would return after impressing the coaches and White himself.

Kimbo has been TUF: Season 10’s biggest draw since the season’s debut, and following his loss, producers have teased viewers with a Kimbo return nearly every episode. Obviously, fans wanna see him fight again, and they are obliging.

This week, Spike TV and the UFC confirmed the brawler’s upcoming fight, which will be held at The Pearl, inside Las Vegas’ Palms Casino Resort. However, they have not yet confirmed Alexander as the opponent. Nor, is it clear if Kimbo will be fighting for the six-figure UFC contract, or if he’s just there as one of the recalls from the show.

Alexander is expected to be announced during the two-hour episode. He did confirm he’d face Kimbo during an interview with Todd N Tyler Radio Empire show recently.

His opponent, Houston Alexander, is similar to Kimbo in that he posseses big punching power, enough to end a fight with one punch. However, he’s suffered consecutive losses over the past few years.

Kimbo fans had high hopes for the MMA hopeful when learning about his inclusion on TUF, but his disappointing loss to Nelson has raised concerns about his possible future in the UFC, and sport all-together.

The finale match will be a do-or-die match for Kimbo. A win will extend his chances at finally making it to the UFC, while another loss could end all hopes.

Tiger has yet to be formally interviewed by the Florida Highway Patrol — that should happen this afternoon. But we’re told Tiger had a conversation Friday — with a non-law enforcement type — detailing what went down before his Escalade hit a fire hydrant.

We’re told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. We’re told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV — but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club.

Tiger Woods We’re told Woods became “distracted,” thought the vehicle was stopped, and looked to see what had happened. At that point the SUV hit the fire hydrant and then hit a tree.

We’re also told Woods had said during the conversation Friday he had been taking prescription pain medication for an injury, which could explain why he seemed somewhat out of it at the scene.
