Lebron’s “More Than A Game” Documentary Is Getting Excellent Reviews

Lebron James’ “More Than A Game” documentary has been getting some good reviews. I haven’t checked it out yet but from what I’m hearing it’s an emotional ride that will leave the hardest man alive a lil misty-eyed once it’s all said and done. The documentary is based on real life footage that was recorded throughout Lebron’s history growing up on the basketball court. It’s centered around him and 4 of his friends who all grew up together and played on the same team. The story shows you the hardships these 5 dudes had to face on and off the court such as living in poverty, growing up fatherless, and dealing with self esteem issues. But all in all the story is about creating something out of nothing and getting from nowhere to somewhere. The same reasons why we all loved movies like Scarface (the struggle to become somebody by any means necessary) and documentaries like Hoop Dreams ( the real life fight to build a name for yourself and accomplish your dreams), is the same reason why we will love Lebron’s new joint, “More Than A Game.” Peep out the trailer below…

That’s Wassup: ATL Artists Give Back To Flood Victims

It’s good to see these ATL artists bringing a lil bit of sunshine to the victims of the recent floods that demolished several parts of Georgia this month. I experienced tragedy like this during Hurricane Katrina in the N.O. and every bit of humanity and friendly gestures helps to lift spirits at a time when you feel like you’ve lost everything. The charity event that Jermaine Dupri, Nelly, T.I.’s Grand Hustle Label, Outkast, and others are hosting is making me feel real proud to be a part of hip hop right now. Read more on this below. Rapper Bumpy J Sentenced To 10 Years For Bank Robbery

I know times is hard as fuck but did this dude Bumpy J really think he was gon’ get away with robbing a bank?!! He just got sentenced to 10 years in the pen but I gotta give it to him tho, robbing a bank is an aggressive move. I also gotta admit that it’s a not-so-smart move too, becuz when is the last time somebody actually got away with this? Go ‘head and think about it I’ll wait…

Today Terrence Boykin, also known as Bump J, was sentenced to 10 years in prison. However, as bad as this news sounds, he received the minimum sentence for both charges, 7 years for the gun and 37 months for the bank robbery.

By law, these two terms have to be served consecutively, but he does gets credit for the time he’s served and will finish out 85% of his sentence. At the end of his sentence he’ll be eligible for placement in a halfway house.

Weird Sh*t: 77-Year Old Man Gets Sex Change!

This 77 year old man was the oldest person ever to have a sex change. This some weird shit and I don’t really know what to say about this other than to ask this question: Is this 77 year old man turned woman still tryna get some or sumthin? I mean if he went 77 years with a penis what sense does it make to chop it off now for?!! Does he have plans on putting his new kitty-kat to use? Maybe he’s just tryna wrap up some unfinished business I guess. I hope I ain’t sounding insensitive but this shit is confusing the hell outta me. I wonder what his people think about this. Read the details on this below… Read more

Dame Dash Doin’ Is Back In The Game With New Black Roc Label

Dame Dash has a new label called BlackRoc and he’s doin’ some big thangs with it. They BlackRoc label is on some rock-soul-funk type shit. The first release will be from the rock band Black Keys and from the sound of it they’re bringing some fiyah music to the game. Their new album is featuring everybody from Mos Def to Q-Tip to Jim Jones and every hip hop artist in between. I posted the album trailer and some footage of Dame, Black Keys, and Mos Def in the studio.

On a side note tho, Onyx was on Satellite radio the other day goin’ hard at Dame Dash claiming that he jacked the name of their underground rock group. They’re saying that they were already using the name BlackRoc. I dunno how true this is but this is why niggas need to make sure they trademark their work so they don’t have come up off of thousands in court tryna win the right to their own shit back. That is if what Onyx is claiming has any truth to it. Anyway all I care about is good music and Dame Dash is giving us a sample of that below… Read more

Snoop Says Biggie and Tupac’s Legacies Should Be Respected The Same As Big Pun’s

Snoop Says Biggie and Tupac’s Legacies Should Be Respected The Same As Big Pun’s

Snoop recently said that Big Pun’s legacy is being treated respectfully but he feels that Biggie’s and Tupac’s legacy is not being placed in that same high regard. His reason is becuz he says that artists are being allowed to sample their voices and some of these artists are people that Biggie or Pac probably never would’ve hung with or did business with. I understand Snoop’s point on this one. I mean I didn’t know Pac nor Biggie personally so I wouldn’t be able to make that type of statement but I can respect it coming from someone who knew them both. Read what Snoop had to say below and tell me what yall think about this…

Snoop Speaks On Biggie, Tupac, and Big Pun’s Legacy

“I feel Big Pun’s memory has been put aside in a treasured way and not as distastefully as Biggie and Tupac,” Snoop explained in an interview. “A lot of people are doing songs with Tupac and Biggie that they probably would have never f*cked with. So that disrespects their whole likeness. So Pun’s memory is still untarnished because it’s not highly publicized and it’s precious because you only remember the moments you remember seeing him on this Earth and it’s not so talked about and dragged up and down to where you’re tired of hearing about it and it makes it right…This was a great man who died too soon, his memory lives on.” (Jow Jow TV)

LMFAO! Yung Berg Says He Will Never Let Nobody Punch Him Again!

This nigga Yung Berg can’t win for losin! I mean got-damn…this dude stay gettin’ punched and slapped n’ shit by grown ass men. Well first check out the video of him talking shit to some white boys and then gettin socked in the back of the head. Yung Berg ain’t even try to act like he was gon’ swing back he just stood there! Then in the second video below he vows to never let another man hit him ever again…What tha fuck?!! He even had the audacity to blameit on his boys saying they shoulda backed him up. What your boys got to do with you takin’ a punch and not even fakin’ like you was about to try to hit dude back?!! That’s some fake shit to say that since you got hit and was too scared to stand up for ya’self, that your boys shoulda handled that situation for you. This lil nigga here needs some help becuz he’s always getting himself into some shit that he obviously ain’t bout. First Yung Berg tried to talk reckless to Maino a while back and Maino ended up givin’ him the jailhouse bitch slap in front of everybody, including the 2 bodyguards Berg had with him. And now he thought him and his potnas could talk shit to some white boys and not have to back that shit up. He prolly thought they wasn’t gon’ do nothin…but he was wrong! This some funny shit…just watch BOTH of the videos below… Read more
